Description

The Project Controls Specialist works under the guidance of our Project Controls Leadership and in partnership with our Operations Team to provide a single point of contact for Cost and Schedule across a portfolio of projects.  This role will include preparation and maintenance of various Project Controls tools including but not limited to Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules, Project Forecast Sheets, and 4 Week Lookahead Reports. The Project Controls Specialist will report to the Edison, Albany, or Worchester office at least four (4) days per week. This position also involves 10-40% travel per month to project sites to engage with project teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create and maintain project schedules across multiple projects/portfolios Work with the project team to build initial project schedules that includes high level of detail and sub-schedules Monitor progress and produce accurate projections of time and cost Load and trend both cost and resources into the project schedules Conduct monthly forecast review meetings across multiple project teams Perform Quality Assurance on project forecasts across multiple projects/portfolios Ensure accurate earned cost/revenue and cost to complete values in project forecast sheets Hold project teams accountable for effectively utilizing project controls tools and track utilization for reporting to Director of Project Controls Attend, participate, and contribute to cost forecast meetings; take meeting notes, track open points, and manage follow-ups  Support Operations with verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are correctly accounted for Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound financial and schedule analysis Produce and analyze 4-week lookahead reports Attend and participate in team meetings both remotely and on the project sites Develop reports to aid and enhance performance of project teams Create databases and tools that will provide further insight into CS Energy’s project portfolio Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams Help identify and implement cost and schedule process improvements  Interact with subcontractors and clients, as necessary Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in EPC project controls Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college preferred Experience planning and scheduling with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Experience with project forecasting Energy/Power construction markets experience is preferred Experience with Forensic Schedule Analysis is a plus Certification related to Project Management (PMP, PSP, etc) is a plus Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access/SQL (ability to build databases highly desired).
