Description

Lead design tasks on multiple water resources projects. Prepares proposals (including scope of work, fee and schedule), client agreements and sub-consultant Manages contracts and finances of project including contract, budget and cost-estimate reviews, client invoicing and initiates collection if required. Prepares or oversees the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, studies, construction documents, analyses, plan sets, drawings, maps, reports, and JC quality processes required for project delivery. Develop quality work products and designs under the mentorship of senior staff Working with the construction inspection group, creates construction site inspection schedule, reviews reports and conducts construction site visits. Collaboratively addresses design issues arising during construction phase. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field. 4+ years of Hydrology and Hydraulic design and/or modeling experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas or ability to obtain or transfer within 6 months of hire date. Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Microstation/OpenRoads Designer a plus

Project Engineer
BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer with 2–7 years of experience in transportation and roadway design. This role focuses on the technical design of roadway and multimodal projects, including grading, drainage, vertical alignments, traffic control devices, stormwater management, and complete streets elements. The ideal candidate will support all phases of project development, from conceptual planning and design to PS&E preparation and construction support, while collaborating with public agencies, consultants, and project teams. Key Responsibilities: Perform roadway geometric design, grading and drainage analysis, and vertical alignments for roadway and multimodal projects. Develop traffic control, pavement markings, and signing plans to enhance safety and operational efficiency. Prepare PS&E packages, including plan, profile, and cross-sections for roadway, trail, and grade separation projects. Analyze and integrate stormwater quality solutions, ensuring compliance with C.3 stormwater treatment and drainage standards. Coordinate with public agencies, including Caltrans, cities, counties, and transit agencies, to secure approvals and meet design requirements. Support the design of grade separations, port and airport landside improvements, and traffic calming projects. Assist in utility coordination efforts, ensuring utility relocations align with project requirements. Provide construction support, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and field coordination. Revit Draftsman Needed for As-Built Field Work + Modeling (San Diego County) 📍 LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY – SAN DIEGO COUNTY This is an on-site, field-based contract position. You must live within San Diego County and be available to visit project sites in person for field measurements and documentation. I’m a licensed architect in San Diego looking for a contract draftsman to help with As-Built documentation for single-family and multi-unit residential projects throughout San Diego County.
