Requirements Project Engineer: This is where you come in. We’re seeking Project Engineers who thrive in a team environment, working alongside both office and field employees to deliver large-scale projects. The Project Engineer role reports to one of our Senior Project Managers and is part of a collaborative team handling a variety of high-impact projects. This highly visible position offers the opportunity to engage with all levels and functions across the organization, making a meaningful impact on our growing business. Top 3 things to deliver in the first year to be a hero: Master HVAC and Plumbing Systems – Deepen your expertise by studying HVAC and plumbing systems and learning from the highly skilled professionals around you. Support Project Execution – Assist with preparing subcontracts, purchase orders, project correspondence, field questions, and job write-ups to understand the full lifecycle of a building project. Manage Scheduling and Logistics – Oversee job progress by tracking equipment and material deliveries to ensure projects stay on schedule. We are hiring for a Project Engineer to join our Bay Area Offices!   BKF has an immediate need for a project engineer with strong technical abilities and experience in land development project design. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of technical work in small to major projects. Provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers in preparing current project status for keeping clients informed on progress and internal reporting. Supervise/coordinate and help lead the team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.   Responsibilities:  Project Design for Site Development Grading and Drainage Plans Utility Systems for Water and Sewer Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies preparation of specifications and cost estimates Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans Federal, State, City and County Standards Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects Requirements 3+ years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works.
