Description

Lead design tasks on multiple water resources projects. Prepares proposals (including scope of work, fee and schedule), client agreements and sub-consultant Manages contracts and finances of project including contract, budget and cost-estimate reviews, client invoicing and initiates collection if required. Prepares or oversees the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, studies, construction documents, analyses, plan sets, drawings, maps, reports, and JC quality processes required for project delivery. Develop quality work products and designs under the mentorship of senior staff Working with the construction inspection group, creates construction site inspection schedule, reviews reports and conducts construction site visits. Collaboratively addresses design issues arising during construction phase. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering or science field. 4+ years of Hydrology and Hydraulic design and/or modeling experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas or ability to obtain or transfer within 6 months of hire date. Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Microstation/OpenRoads Designer a plus

Subcontractor will also provide Project Engineering support necessary to complete planning, design and implementation of new machine tools and/or infrastructure upgrades. Subcontractor will provide technical integration, leadership, guidance, and direction to other multi-disciplined engineering teams as requested for high profile plant initiatives and will appropriately apply ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements for work in nuclear facilities; plan and direct the engineering activities on projects; establish detailed project design scope, budgets, and schedules; professionally coordinate engineering efforts with Production, Maintenance, Project Management, Construction, Startup, and Project Controls personnel; and review project engineering progress against approved schedules and take corrective action when required. The Project Engineering group does not have the resources internally, nor are resources available full time from other avenues to complete this work. Requirements BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited school in a technical discipline, plus 10 years or more of direct experience required, or an MA or MS with 10 plus years of experience A DOE Q Clearance or DOD equivalent is highly preferred in consideration for this position.
