Description

We are hiring for a Project Engineer to join our Bay Area Offices!   BKF has an immediate need for a project engineer with strong technical abilities and experience in land development project design. We are looking for individuals who can independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using their experience and judgment. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of technical work in small to major projects. Provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers in preparing current project status for keeping clients informed on progress and internal reporting. Supervise/coordinate and help lead the team of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments.   Responsibilities:  Project Design for Site Development Grading and Drainage Plans Utility Systems for Water and Sewer Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies preparation of specifications and cost estimates Roadway/Street final design package – Plan, Profile, Cross Sections Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans Federal, State, City and County Standards Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects Requirements 3+ years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works. B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required EIT/ FE certification preferred Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus! Strong communication skills Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions:  Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.  Benefits The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,000- $125,000, annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
