As a Board Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and seamless broadcasts, monitoring live feeds, and managing the technical aspects of our radio station. Audio and some Video editing needed as well. Responsibilities: Operate and monitor the radio station’s control board, ensuring all broadcasts are clear and uninterrupted. Coordinate live programming and remote broadcasts. Ensure that all audio levels, transitions, and audio elements are in line with station standards. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to avoid disruptions. Work closely with on-air talent, producers, and other team members to ensure smooth programming. Must have skills with editing audio in Adobe Audition, and Video in Adobe Premiere. Knowledge with uploading shows to social media accounts -- Odysee, Youtube, Rumble, Podbean. Some experience with Internet Radio broadcasting such as SAMCast. Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience as a board operator or in a similar role within the radio or broadcast industry. Strong technical knowledge of radio broadcast equipment, software, and systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team. Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot technical issues quickly. Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, with availability for occasional Saturday shifts. Mandatory Qualifications ● Read, interpret, diagnose and affect repair of semi complex electronic equipment, e.g. printed circuit boards, power supplies, multiplexing systems, amplifiers, etc. ● Provide technical guidance and training for above to other technicians. ● Printed Circuit Board (PCB) / Electronics Repair Skills Minimum Qualifications ● 3+ years’ experience operating/servicing professional audiovisual equipment. ● Comprehension of AV system schematics, signal flow, and modern audio and video formats. ● Experience with AV and electrical test equipment, including but not limited to: light meters, colorimeters/spectroradiometers, oscilloscopes, real-time analyzers (RTA), SPL meters, signal generators, and multimeters. ● Demonstrate modern computing skills, including experience with Windows and macOS, and competencies in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, and research. ● Experience configuring and troubleshooting basic wired and wireless networks. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ● Ability to work diligently, calmly, and professionally, under tight run-of-show deadlines. ● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. ● Flexibility in scheduling with a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays (paid) depending on business needs. ● Ability to engage in physical activity, including lifting (up to 50lbs), standing for long periods, walking up and down stairs, and climbing ladders/scaffolding. Legal Focus Media is looking to hire more freelancers to add to our team of in-person legal deposition videographers in the North NJ/NYC regional market! LFM is one of the country's largest legal video agencies, providing services to the legal industry since 2010. Applicants need to have experience in the audio/video field and own their own equipment kit which includes a professional video camera (non DSLR), audio mixer, 4 lavalier microphones, a collapsible backdrop, video fluid-head tripod, 2 laptops, and a few other small pieces of equipment. We’ve helped many new team members build kits from scratch job for around $1150k, not including the laptops, if any of the equipment is needed. A basic in-person deposition kit is pictured on this post for reference. Applicants need to own a reliable vehicle and will be expected to travel to markets within a 100-mile radius of their videographer’s home location frequently. Typically you are in a different place every day with different people, which is nice! We reimburse travel at the 2025 rate of $0.70/mile and all parking/toll fees with receipt submissions.
