What You'll be Doing We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team in the day-to-day management of a large book of business. This role plays a key part in maintaining excellent client service standards, ensuring company compliance, and supporting underwriters in processing and managing accounts efficiently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and be eager to build a long-term career in the insurance industry. Key Responsibilities Underwriting & Brokerage Support Assist with the binding of coverage and preparation of documentation. Manage renewal quoting processes, including gathering necessary information, preparing submissions, and ensuring timely delivery. Handle policy issuance, endorsements, and related documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Market & Client Interaction Provide service management for a large book of business, ensuring prompt and professional communication with brokers, carriers, and clients. Ensure adherence to company compliance standards and underwriting guidelines. Operational Support Collaborate closely with the assigned underwriter to complete tasks, manage workflow, and resolve outstanding issues. Maintain careful and organized file management, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete, and properly recorded. Requirements Qualifications Required Skills Proficient in computer applications and documentation management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Load cells into test fixtures, set-up and execute electrical cell tests. Measure cells using mass scale, digital multi-meter, and caliper. Perform visual inspections to identify and evaluate potential defects. Identify and escalate failures or unexpected behaviors to the Engineering Team within defined response time. Monitor and maintain testing equipment and calibrate as needed. Participate in troubleshooting and identifying causes with Engineers and Technicians. Accurate documentation of the data.
