Position Summary Equipment Experts, Inc. is looking for additional Field Diesel Technicians to add to its team in Lakewood, WA. The Field Diesel Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing quality assurance of field repairs for Equipment Experts’ customers. The Field Technician plays a crucial role: aligning excellent diagnostic and repair abilities with our customers' need to deliver excellence safely. This position is highly collaborative, internally facing and requires a high level of experience and understanding of universal system functions. What You’ll Do As an Industrial Machine Technician, you’ll help keep our production floor running smoothly by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial sized mailing and digital printing machines. This is a hands-on role where your mechanical and electrical know-how and attention to detail will directly support the success of our high-volume operations.   Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust mechanical and electronic failures using schematics, manuals, and procedures. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and equipment. Follow all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out and anti-static procedures. Diagnose issues and perform routine maintenance and repairs on complex mechanical and electronic components, including circuits and wiring, motors (servo, AC/DC brush and brushless), drive and feed belts, chains, gears and bearings, pulleys, brakes, clutches, vacuum pumps and compressors, photosensors, pneumatic hoses, fittings, and solenoids. Schedule Standard Hours: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift) Training Period: Schedule may vary for the first 3–6 months while training. Overtime: May be required during peak production periods, including earlier start times, later end times, and/or weekend work for preventative maintenance. Requirements What You’ll Bring 2+ years of experience as a machine technician or in a similar role. Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills. A working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Must communicate well with others and be able to read technical manuals and diagrams Experience in a print and mail production environment is a major plus. High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical training or certification is a bonus.
