Overview: The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of recreational vehicles (RVs) throughout the dealership property. This includes relocating units to service bays, cleaning stations, photo areas, and storage lots. The ideal candidate has experience operating tractors, forklifts, and similar equipment and is committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: RV Movement & Equipment Operation Safely move RVs of various sizes around the dealership property, including service bays, storage areas, and PDI locations. Transport RVs to designated locations for cleaning, inspections, photography, and staging. Utilize tractors and forklifts as necessary to relocate units safely and efficiently. Lot & Inventory Organization Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot and company property. Assist with staging and organizing RVs for service work based on daily work lists. Ensure all units are positioned properly and securely when parked or staged. Support Operations & Workflow Follow daily work assignments and complete tasks in a timely, organized manner. Communicate with the Service Manager and other team members to coordinate movement priorities. Assist with general maintenance and upkeep of outdoor workspaces. Safety & Compliance Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and OSHA regulations. Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly. Participate in ongoing safety training and follow all workplace safety procedures. Other Duties Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by the Service Manager. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Forklift and tractor operation experience required. Ability to work in fast-paced, outdoor environments and under varied weather conditions. Comfortable working weekends and standing or walking for extended periods. Strong multitasking and time-management skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to climb ladders and steps safely. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly, 15 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must have close vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in an un-climate-controlled outdoor environment for extended periods.
