We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Associate Attorney to join our team. This role is integral in representing clients who have suffered trauma and need strong legal advocacy. Position Overview: As an Associate Attorney specializing in Sexual Assault and Personal Injury, you will work closely with senior attorneys to handle a caseload, conduct legal research, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both areas, exceptional advocacy skills, and a genuine compassion for helping others. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Case Management: Manage cases from initial consultation through trial, focusing on sexual assault and personal injury claims. Client Representation: Represent clients in court, during depositions, and in settlement negotiations, providing diligent and compassionate advocacy. Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments, keeping abreast of developments in relevant laws. Documentation: Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests that are clear and impactful. Investigation: Participate in case investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to establish case facts. Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and other staff to ensure comprehensive representation and support for clients. Client Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clients to inform them about case status, processes, and strategies. Qualifications: Licensing: Licensed to practice law in Texas with a solid understanding of sexual assault and personal injury law. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of legal experience, with a focus on personal injury, civil rights, or related fields preferred. Skills: Strong advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills with a proven ability to empathize with clients. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in all legal documents and proceedings. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment while demonstrating independence when necessary.
