Perfect for practitioners such as somatic therapists, bodyworkers, and physician's needing minimal equipment. (There are basic exam related medical supplies such as a rolling BP unit. No sink in the room itself though). Suite shared with numerous practitioners in the healing arts: (Those sharing one waiting room include: Traditional hands-on osteopathy and two receptionists (who have their own rooms). Other practitioners in the building do: Psychotherapy, Acupuncture, Chi Nei Tseng (Chinese abdominal massage), Qi Gong, Sound healing, and Visceral therapy, etc. ROOM: 11x17 feet w/3 windows. Sun facing. Carpeted. Has a hydraulic table, a desk, direct sunlight, street facing. Desk with chair for patient/client and provider for intake interviews and coordinating payment. Acupuncture heat lamp available Lots of props available for use - various pillows, a large foam leg support when patients/clients are supine, etc. (I do not have a lot of storage space in case that is a critical need.) Beautifully decorated space with a peaceful atmosphere. Good optional overhead lighting as well as lighting along all four walls many with dimmers. Large comfortable new couch, high end adjustable electric/hydraulic table, and 2 rolling stools. Live plants. Of note, given it's an osteopathic physician office, there is some medical/anatomical props such as models of skulls, a full sized skeleton, a blood pressure machine, stethoscope, and otoscope. No room for additional furniture. AVAILABILITY: Monday: All day Thursday: Half day. Friday: All Day Saturday: Every other Saturday available. Sunday: All day. UPSIDES: -Semi-private recently upgraded waiting room, shared with a small group of kind, grounded integrative mostly female health care practitioners. The waiting room has an electric massage chair that those waiting can use. The waiting room also has purified water and a self serve tea area. Air filters are in all treatment rooms and the waiting room. -2 bathrooms in an adjoining hallway. -Free parking in a private lot for providers only (not patients/clients). 2 hour free parking on the street. POTENTIAL DOWNSIDES: Handicap Access: There are 4 steps leading up to the door so it is unfortunately, not up to code for disabled access or if you see a high volume of elderly, alter-abled, or children in strollers. This issue is currently pending with the current landlord and resolution is not in the near future. There is NO break room. There is a fridge and a microwave. If you are an acupuncturist, given allergies and sensitivities of some of our patients, we do not support the burning of Moxa in our part of the building (though we like that it exists and think it's a useful tool) If you are a psychotherapist, the rooms can work, AND at the same time, are better suited towards a practitioner who integrates bodywork of some kind, as the bodywork table is the centerpiece of the rooms. Storage: Available but very limited. You are welcome to use my props if helpful. No closets. Some massage therapists have looked at the room and could not figure out how to work with the bottom sheet with the headrest I have. I personally get around this by having the sheet on the table excluding the face piece, and then spray the face part with alcohol to clean it.
