The price for a single receiver is $100. Or you can have both receivers for $160. These prices are firm and non-negotiable. Please don't ask for a discount or make an offer. For sale is a Niles Audio Corporation brand multi-zone, multi-input audio receiver. This is model number GXR2. As is the case with all multi-zone audio systems, the value of this receiver is that it allows you to centralize the hardware necessary for a full-house audio system, while decentralizing the user controls across your house. This reduces the overall cost of setting up an all-house stereo system. I actually have two (2) of these receivers for sale. Except for the modular audio input cards that are contained within the receiver, both are identical. Please see below for more detail about these cards. Each receiver is very large and heavy, measuring about 17" wide, 18" deep, and 6" tall. Each unit weighs nearly 60 pounds with most of the weight from the internal toroidal power supply necessary for the large built-in audio amplifier. The component is intended to be placed in an audio rack mount cabinet. In fact, both units come with rack mount ears installed. But you can also just place it on a table or on the floor. This audio receiver has built-in audio amplification to power up to 12 stereo speakers in up to 6 different zones or rooms within your house. When connected to 8 Ohm speakers, each amplifier channel is rated for 55 watts (660 watts of total power). When connected to 4 Ohm speakers, each amplifier channel is rated for 85 watts (1,020 watts of total power). Two channels of audio (left and right) are assigned to each of 6 zone within your house. The volume of each attached set of stereo speakers is controlled using remote control keypads (not included). This component has internal space for up to 6 audio input module cards, which can be individually removed and replaced. Each modular input card fits into a slot in the back panel. The specific audio input at each zone is controlled using remote control keypads (not included). Niles Audio made a number of such modular cards, each with different audio functions. For example, they sold an analog stereo audio card, an FM / AM Radio Tuner card, an iPod card, etc. These modular cards were sold separately from the receiver. As mentioned above, I have two of these receivers, which are nearly identical. But the two receivers have slightly different input cards installed. The first unit has the following six audio cards installed: 1) analog stereo input, 2) analog stereo input, 3) analog stereo input, 4) analog stereo input, 5) FM / AM radio tuner input, and 6) Sirius satellite radio input. Pictures 2 to 12 are of this first unit. The second unit has the following six audio cards installed: 1) analog stereo input, 2) analog stereo input, 3) analog stereo input, 4) analog stereo input, 5) FM / AM radio tuner input, and 6) iPod connector input. Pictures 13 to 23 are of this second unit. Both receivers are in excellent functional condition. Both were pulled from my previous home and at the time were in full working condition. There is absolutely nothing functionally wrong with either unit. Cosmetically, there are some scratches and surface paint peel-offs on many exterior surfaces of the receiver. But these are merely cosmetic issues that don't affect the functionality of the receiver. The first unit has the original support feet. But the second unit is missing these feet. With purchase, you'll get the receiver and one necessary electrical cable. The wired remote control keypads and IR extenders that were originally installed in my house were sold and are NOT available. But you can purchase these accessory devices on eBay, Amazon, or through your local Niles dealer. Or perhaps, you already have these available in your home. Because I don't have the wired keypad, it's not possible to test the amplifier in my current home, as those are required for switching and volume control. But you can bring your own keypad for testing purposes. You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
