1966 Fender Showman - $1,200 (Athens)

This amp sounds like a MILLION dollars. Unmatched blackface tone!! Here’s the facts on it…a guy had this for a long time and passed away and this ended up in an estate sale because he had no one to leave it to. The guy that bought it took it to have it serviced and caps replaced and then I bought it. Cosmetically, it’s been used, functionally it’s leaps and bounds above most. It’s missing the back panel cover, the tolex was removed and the enclosure was either stained or painted black. I just had this gone through and completely serviced by Bryan Toma of Tomatone. The power transformer was replaced with a classic tone (Chicago) and all the pots have been cleaned and the glass is good. This thing is absolutely ready to rock and needs nothing to do so. The longer I keep it, the more I wanna keep it. It’s just magic whether it’s in the bedroom or screaming outside. Excellent fender clean tone but also a pedal platform like you’ve never seen. You can gig it tonight and for the rest of your life, so it’s good to go. If you wanna make it eye candy, Bryan can retolex it and add new hardware for $300. Totally worth it and these blackface amps are getting more expensive and harder to find In good enough condition to play without dropping a bunch of money. Price is firm and no trades please
