We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Fabricator. This role is based in our facility in Janesville, WI and reports to the Plant Manager. The hours are Mo-Fri from 5.30am until 2pm. Perform fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations. Principal Responsibilities Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures. Obtain components from stock/production. Set-up equipment to match product requirements. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills. Inspect completed parts. Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets. Correctly label all parts and boxes as needed. Visually inspect all incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects. Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Maintains a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending training that is provided where required. Maintains a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required. Assist in the coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory. Completing and maintaining reports for managers as required, which may include: Production reports Scrap reports Other duties may be assigned when applicable. Requirements Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, however, full training will be provided Must be knowledgeable in basic math Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn Good team player including with a demonstrated ability to chip in to and foster a positive team environment Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful. After training, should exhibit an understanding of various types and sizes of pipes. Working Conditions Manufacturing plant environment Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and heavy lifting of 50 - 75 lbs. Position Summary: Penske Truck Leasing in North Everett seeks highly motivated and qualified applicants to fill the unique position of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver). This position is responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Penske locations and Penske customers. Primarily, this position moves our box trucks up to 26’ and for CDL Class A will include tractors and trailer movement. Position may also provide assistance to the service department to deliver parts and equipment. This is a casual/on-call part-time truck driving job that is perfect for licensed CDL Class B or CDL Class A drivers seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs. Major Responsibilities: • Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Penske location or customer locations • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles • Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Qualifications: • 2 years of driving experience required • 2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required • CDL Class B license required • CDL Class A license preferred • Ability to read and follow written instructions is required. • Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required • In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role.
