Shipping and Receiving Manager (San Diego)

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Manager to oversee our daily shipping and distribution operations. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient movement of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery of complete orders to our customers. The ideal candidate is analytical, well-organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable managing paperwork, utilizing warehouse management systems, and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Shipping Operations • Manage important shipping documents including advanced shipping notices (ASN), pick slips, and bills of lading • Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment • Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders Receiving Operations • Oversee all incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders • Review incoming shipments on daily logs and accept loads from suppliers • Inspect received products and send to correct department • Supervise proper storage of products and maintain accurate inventory records • Manage the receiving area operations including safety protocols Education & Experience • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in shipping management or warehouse operations Experience Core Competencies • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities • Time management skills to handle multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications • Forklift operation certification • Experience with inventory management systems • Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment Physical Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally • Ability to stand for extended periods • Comfortable working in warehouse environment with varying temperatures • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely Please send salary history
