Parallel Employment is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team and contribute to warehouse operations for a client in the Fort Atkinson area. The Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, sorting, and storing incoming materials, ensuring that products are organized and accessible for production and shipping. Shift: 6a-2:30pm (hours may vary) Wage: $18-$20/hr DOE Material Handler Key Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Sort and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse. Pull orders and prepare items for shipment or production processes. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain inventory records and assist with inventory counts. Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to safety regulations. Requirements Material Handler Requirements: Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling position preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. This may include but it is not limited to production machines, manufacturing tools, assembly lines, or computer-controlled systems. • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment, to ensure proper functionality and prevent breakdowns. Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or issues promptly and efficiently. • Production Efficiency: Optimize equipment by adjusting settings, monitoring production rates, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Minimize downtime by anticipating maintenance needs and coordinating with maintenance staff as required. • Training Expertise: Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training for Production Operator 1 and 2 team members, and as well as other positions as needed. • Leadership: Leadership qualities to inspire and motivate production operators to achieve high performance. • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment performance, and any incidents or deviations. Complete production reports, logs, and other required documentation as per standard operating procedures. • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication. Share knowledge, insights, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives. • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that materials and equipment are properly stored, and waste is disposed appropriately. Ensure the team is working in a clean and neat manner as well. • Material Handling: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies. Safely transport materials to designated area using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks. Organize and store materials in designated locations for easy retrieval and inventory control. • Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, with appropriate certifications if required. • Perform other duties as assigned and work in other areas as see needed. Position Requirements • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to operate and troubleshoot various types of equipment. • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to equipment operation and maintenance. • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately. • Good problem-solving to detail and the ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey information clearly. • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment. • Compliance with health and hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. This position will assist in the repair, maintenance, and rebuild of non-centrifuge and non-pump related solids control equipment.  Shop Tech - 1 is responsible for assisting in facility related projects, Shop shipping & receiving operations, and will utilize hand & power tools in the maintenance and repair (M&R) process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and service. Assist with: packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading of deliveries. Operating hot-water pressure washer to clean equipment, as required. Assist in facility projects including: moving items, packing boxes, cleaning, trash removal, etc. Assist other shop team members with equipment installation, service, cleaning. Perform QA/QC checks prior to “Green-Tag” and properly record test results. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Installation, and verification, of required S3S decals prior to equipment shipping. Responsible for requesting tools, supplies, and fixtures needed for their work duties. May be required to work in other locations from time to time.  Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   Ability to utilize measuring devices: tape measure, caliper, thread gauge, etc. Ability to identify the thread size and specification of an unknown fastener. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools. Ability to operate equipment including Front end loaders, Forklifts, and overhead cranes. Must be able to read and write in English fluently (Spanish is a plus). Must have manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be mechanically inclined / adept, and familiar with hand tools. Able to communicate effectively with others. Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions. Understanding of proper fastener installation, and torquing. Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience: High School Diploma, or GED equivalent. 1+ Year experience working in a maintenance and repair environment, preferred.
