Ardent Staffing is seeking Machine Operators to run and support production equipment used in printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing and protective coating/finishing processes. You will set up, operate, and maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets across 1st and 2nd shifts. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor PCB production equipment (e.g., conformal coating systems, masking/dispense equipment, ovens/cure systems, AOI/inspection tools, handling equipment). Read travelers/work orders and basic drawings; follow manufacturing work instructions (MWIs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Mix, load, and handle materials/chemistries (e.g., conformal coatings, solvents, thinners) per specifications and SDS guidelines; verify viscosity and pot life. Perform in-process inspections (visual, AOI, thickness checks) and document results; segregate nonconforming product and initiate NCRs as needed. Complete changeovers, cleaning, and preventive maintenance; escalate equipment issues to maintenance/engineering. Maintain 5S, ESD, and safety compliance; use PPE and follow lockout/tagout where required. Record production data in ERP/MES; track lot/batch details and traceability. Collaborate with quality and engineering to troubleshoot defects and improve yield. Support smooth shift handoffs (status logs, priorities, issues) and autonomous end-of-shift cleaning, particularly on 2nd shift. Qualifications 1+ year experience in electronics/PCB, coatings, or precision manufacturing preferred. Familiarity with conformal coating processes (spray, dip, selective) is a plus. Ability to read and follow SOPs, travelers, and basic technical drawings. Comfortable working with chemicals and PPE; able to lift up to 35–50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Basic computer skills (ERP/MES data entry, email); strong attention to detail and quality. Willingness to learn multiple machines and cross-train; strong communication for shift handoffs. Preferred: Knowledge of IPC/quality standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001/AS9100). Work Environment Cleanroom or controlled environment; ESD-safe practices. Regular PPE use (gloves, safety glasses; respirator as required). Exposure to chemicals/solvents with proper ventilation and controls. Benefits Health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, and 401(k) [adjust to company specifics]. Training and advancement opportunities; shift differential for 2nd shift. How to Apply Please submit your resume and indicate your shift preference (1st or 2nd). If open to either, please note “either shift.” Include any relevant experience with conformal coating, PCB handling, AOI, masking, or cure processes.
