This position is hands-on, requiring expertise in PLC programming, ladder logic troubleshooting, panel building, and automation systems. Key Responsibilities Participate in cell design and integration of controls for automated equipment. Build, wire, and program PLC panels. Configure, test, operate, and maintain production control systems. Troubleshoot ladder logic, PLCs, and electrical systems. Perform maintenance and servicing of controls and automated systems. Integrate safety circuits into equipment. Support robotic systems as needed. Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Requirements Requirements 6+ years of related controls/automation experience (preferred). Strong PLC programming experience. Proficiency in ladder logic troubleshooting. About the Position Assist in managing lumber and grade recovery and optimization programs for Company locations across Washington, Oregon, and California Work closely with local management teams to improve profitability of mills, and to ensure products meet both grade specification and customer requirements Promote safe workplace practices, promote safety awareness, and lead by example Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with material grades, and recovery, utilizing working knowledge of product line and material usage Continually train on best maintenance and utilization of production optimization systems to maximize lumber values, grade, and recovery Maintain a strong working relationship with Supervisors and Managers across the Company Work closely with mill management and sales teams on process improvements, new product development, and customer feedback issues Help ensure lumber quality and grade maximize value through lumber graders and optimizing scanners Qualifications 2 years’ experience in lumber quality control using optimizing scanners High degree of knowledge and experience working with optimization technology Strong experience working with computer software/hardware, installing operating and networking systems Certified grader in at least one category preferred: Commons, Shop, Select, and all NGR grades Experience working with a grading association Full understanding of grading association rule book Proven commitment to safety and Company policy Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under demanding circumstances Proficient in documentation, workflow, math computation, and computer technology Why Join Our Team? About the Role We are seeking two experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to join a leading manufacturer with dominant market share and a strong company culture. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and troubleshooting equipment and site property. You will perform adjustments and mechanical/electrical repairs to ensure safe and efficient machine operation. A major focus of this position is hydraulics, pneumatics, and valve troubleshooting/rebuilds related to die cast production equipment. Key Responsibilities Maintain, service, and troubleshoot production equipment and facility systems. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot, replace, and rebuild valves associated with die cast equipment. Perform mechanical and electrical adjustments and repairs to ensure equipment uptime. Follow all safety procedures and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Support continuous improvement initiatives in equipment reliability and performance. Requirements Requirements High school diploma or GED required. 2–4 years of multi-craft maintenance technician experience, or equivalent training. Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valve troubleshooting, replacement, and rebuilding. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic logic systems. Solid experience troubleshooting electrical systems. Hands-on skills in repairing equipment, fixtures, and related systems.
