The extensive modernization and expansion of the site are being driven by increasing customer demand for advanced material solutions for electrification, metal replacement, and light weighting in multiple industries. It includes the addition of the latest state-of-the-art production technologies, increasing efficiency and sustainability throughout the facility. Envalior is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, reducing downtime, and maintaining high-quality production standards. The Maintenance Mechanic will work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing scheduled rebuilds, diagnosing failures, and executing repairs to keep the facility running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using a variety of hand and power tools. Disassemble, inspect, and repair production equipment, ensuring all components meet operational tolerances. Perform minor electrical repairs on circuits containing less than 50 volts. Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize equipment failures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper repair procedures. Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal components as needed. Rig and align large motors, gearboxes, and other critical equipment. Comply with safety protocols and procedures, participating in the site’s safety programs. Maintain accurate computerized maintenance records using desktop and tablet-based systems. What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or journeyman-level work. Hands-on experience with shop tools, hand tools, and multimeters. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements and best practices. Experience with welding (MIG/TIG), pipefitting, and rigging preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency for work order management and email communication. The Quality Technician’s role will be seen as pivotal in our efforts to drive at-source quality at ALMAG. The role requires the individual to support new product introduction, provide quality training, support, and to work collaboratively with various teams to develop standard work and ensure compliance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The quality technician’s primary responsibility is to positively support the various departments in assuring that the requirements of the customer and quality management system are being met throughout each department.  Additionally, the quality technician contributes to the continuous improvement of Almag’s quality system. The duties and responsibilities of the Quality Technician are detailed below, but not limited to the following:   Supporting the New Product Introduction process by assuring new customer requirements are understood and achieved. Responsible for performing audits of various departments to ensure that the QMS requirements are being met. Communicate new product status, its performance based on data, and provide samples and feedback to the respective departments with continuous improvement approach in mind. Responsible for collecting samples as required for various customer and internal requirements. Responsible for tracking and supporting Quality Containment processes for nonconforming product in all departments. Responsible for supporting production team in achieving customer requirements through training, auditing, and development of standard documents. Provide direction and support to any special sorting if needed, with the focus on accuracy and efficiency of sorting. Perform product testing for mechanical properties. Support team lead and shift supervisors to determine criteria for acceptance or rejection when there is uncertainty. Provide direction to the team if clarification is required for WO notes or requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience At least 3 years’ experience in quality, working in manufacturing environment. ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) would be an asset. Certified Internal Auditor would be an asset. Technical Skills/Competence Excellent teamwork and collaboration across departments and within teams Work Efficiently Flexibility/Adaptability to meet customer business requirements. Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings. Basic knowledge of GD&T would be an asset. Ability to work and make decisions independently. Good mechanical aptitude and attention detail. Must be competent in the use of measuring instruments i.e. Calipers, micrometers.
