Looking for person to work on rollers in our manufacturing facility. Skills you might use at our company: Stripping rubber/urethane off old cores Prepping and priming cores Building rollers/casting urethane Sandblasting Sanding Welding Engine lathe turning Assembly/Disassembly Finishing parts. Trimming, polishing. Housekeeping around your area. Compensation: Compensation based on experience. Job Qualifications: Ability to setup jobs on a CNC Mill and CNC Lathe Basic understanding of G code Knowledge of how to use and read Calipers and Micrometers The Ability to read blue prints. We are looking for a CNC Operator who has the skills, or is willing to learn the skills of a conventional machinist. The candidate should be willing to go through at a minimum our in house apprentice program learning more conventional machinists skills, like the ones shown below A Conventional Journeyman Machinist is a person who can do the following; 1: Setup a manual lathe, and is proficient at truing material in a 4 jaw chuck 2: Familiar with turning and boring long material in a steady rest 3: Have the ability to hold close tolerances 4: Proficient in reading and understanding drawings, layouts, and conventional millwork. Candidates must pass a written test which consists of measurements, conversions of fractions/decimals, and tool descriptions. A hands-on test may also be given if you pass the written test.
