Summary: The Southern California News Group is seeking an Electrician to join our team! The Electrician will safely ensure all production equipment operates at optimum levels through proactive use of electrical skills. Perform preventative maintenance in proper intervals; quickly diagnoses breakdowns to allow maximum production time. Educates other associates on safe and proper operation of the equipment while observing company policies and applicable laws. What you will do: - Actively monitor equipment & troubleshoot problems on all production equipment - Performs preventative maintenance on all production equipment at proper intervals - Communicates in English both written & verbally with all necessary parties on equipment statuses: (record keeping through use of computer and or logbooks) - Works on special projects (equipment upgrades, relocations) as directed/assigned - Serves as a proactive customer service ambassador of The Press Enterprise by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner - Ensures external and internal customer inquiries are responded to on a timely basis - Continues to develop knowledge in order to stay abreast of emerging technology - Communicate with management on parts requests and ensure the stocking of parts What you will bring: - 2+ years of electrical experience in a production/manufacturing environment - Ability to read/write and understand electrical schematics - Understand AC/DC theory and Electromechanical devices (Pneumatic/Sensor Controls) - Basic understanding of PC Controlled interfaces (Fiber optic/Communication Network) - Troubleshoot PLC Logic and Analog Relay logic (Solid-state electronics) and AC/DC Digital Control Motor Drives - Perform System Diagnostics and Calibrating procedures - Ability to properly use tools to perform duties (Meters, scopes, hand tools, etc.) The hourly wage range is $26.00 - $30.00. In this role, you will need to be familiar with monitoring inbound shipments, verifying, reconciling, and reporting on the company’s inventory, and validate discrepancies and non-confirmation to ensure that business operations have a reconciled warehouse. The primary purpose of Sanitation Associate/Sanitor is to ensure all production areas and production equipment are cleaned, sanitized and ready for use. Key Responsibilities: • Observes all safety rules and regulations • Identifies and addresses product and processing problems in a timely manner and escalates issues to Sanitation Lead if resolution requires it. • Maintains a safe and clean work environment throughout the plant, according to GMP and Safety Guidelines • Prepares areas to be cleaned by setting up safety equipment and organizing supplies • Disassembles, cleans, and sanitizes all production equipment in a timely manner • Cleans floors and walls of the production area to maintain cleanliness • Must be able to safely operate and understand proper machine operating and adjusting procedures • Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed • Works to understand overall impact of his/her job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements.
