The Plastic Injection Operator is responsible for running and maintaining a cell of injection-molding machines, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production processes. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team. Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Shift Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor a cell of injection-molding machines to meet production targets. Inspect products for quality, color accuracy, and dimensions using gauges and color measurement equipment. Ensure machines run at peak efficiency, quality, and rate throughout the shift. Perform routine cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and maintenance of injection mold tooling. Accurately count, package, and weigh completed products; record production quantities in the system. Operate robotics and other automated equipment. Collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Maintain 5S standards and adhere to department work instructions and standard operating procedures. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot. Good math skills and ability to use measuring instruments. Ability to read blueprints and understand SPC. Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and work from elevated areas as required. Competencies Mechanical aptitude and technical learning. Quality orientation and attention to detail.
