Stone Mountain Ga, 30087 Job Title: Manufacturing General Laborer – Corrugated Hose Assembly Department: Hose Assembly / Production Reports To: Production Supervisor or Plant Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt ________________________________________ Position Summary: The Manufacturing General Laborer in the Corrugated Hose Assembly Department is responsible for supporting daily production operations by assisting with the fabrication, assembly, inspection, and packaging of corrugated metal hoses. This role involves hands-on work with industrial materials, tools, and machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Assist with the assembly of corrugated hose products, including cutting, prepping, and fitting components for welding or brazing. • Handle raw materials such as hose, braid, and fittings safely and efficiently. • Load and unload materials, move parts between workstations, and stage components for production. • Operate or assist with operation of cutting, braiding, tagging, or pressure testing equipment as trained. • Inspect hoses and fittings for defects or quality issues before and after assembly. • Package, label, and prepare finished hose assemblies for shipment. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and company safety standards. • Follow production schedules, work orders, and supervisor instructions to meet daily goals. • Support maintenance and setup of tools and machines when required. • Report any equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or safety concerns immediately. • Perform other duties as assigned to support the hose assembly line. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Previous experience in hose manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication, or industrial assembly preferred but not required (training provided). • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.). • Mechanically inclined with basic hand and power tool experience. • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, or reach for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and dependability. • Willingness to work overtime or alternative shifts as needed. ________________________________________ Work Environment: • Manufacturing floor environment with moderate to high noise levels. • Exposure to heat, machinery, and metal fabrication processes. • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
