Tool Maker Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Base Pay Rate Range of $32-$43 (DOE) Our Tool Room team consists of very talented and dedicated Tool Makers and Tool Room Machinists. They are responsible for machining our custom tooling, automated fixtures, gages, etc. - with direct design input on these projects. And we are looking to add to this team by hiring another skilled and experienced Tool Maker. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, with great CNC and Manual Machining/EDM/Grinding skills, to join the team and continue a legacy of high-quality work. Typical projects include Gage Making, One Hit Dimple Dies, and Automated Fixturing. Applies specialized skill sets to independently analyze specifications, sets up and operates a wide range of machine tools, fits and assembles parts as well as fabricate, maintain and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures and gages. Troubleshoots Sets-up and operates a full range of both manual and CNC machine tools (lathe, milling machine and grinder) in order to design and build both simple and more complex tooling. Determines machining requirements and processes and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications With only general guidance, works from blueprints, sketches, models and verbal description in order to build, rebuild, modify, and repair tools, dies, gages and necessary equipment. Determines required work tools and measurement devices. Reviews and verifies prints and drawings, determines availability of materials and equipment and priorities and schedules work flow as appropriate. Computes dimensions and plan layout and assembly operation. Measures, marks and scribes metal stock for machining. Plumbs pneumatic components for fixturing. Fabricates, maintains, modifies and repairs metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures and gages. Ensures that designs incorporate the best ergonomics, quality and process expectations. Participates in the development of performance specifications for tools and fixtures based on internal customer requirements. Works with tool engineers to identify and implement design improvements. Effectively troubleshoots tool and die problems. Investigates issues, isolates cause, and determines corrective action. Identifies and initiates preventative and routine maintenance on tools and equipment; inspects machined work pieces for quality and compliance. Stays informed on state-of-the-art technologies and participates in research and development of solutions. Participates as a member of project or new tooling development teams. Leads/manages project teams. Monitors and adheres to project milestones and timelines. Trains and mentors new employees or apprentices. Performs back up lead duties as assigned.   Skills and Experiences You’ll Need as a Tool Maker: High school education or equivalent, two years of trade school training and five or more years of related experience. Five or more years of specific tool making experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Expert level knowledge of Tool Making practices, designs and construction. Technical expertise in one or more specialized areas which may include gauge making, millwright, or other mechanical specialties. Thorough understanding of shop mathematics, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and metal properties. Demonstrated ability to understand highly technical electronic and written blueprints, models and specifications. Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools. Superior level of accuracy with demonstrated ability to operate standard shop machine tools to tolerances of .0002”. In-depth knowledge of layout, machining and tool assembly procedures. In-depth knowledge of CNC programming. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Ability to communicate cross-functionally and with leadership regarding project resources and schedules. Ability to provide guidance and direction to team members. Strong computer knowledge and thorough knowledge of applicable CAM software required. Work Environment for a Tool Maker: Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and chemicals. Ability to use PPE. Ability to stand or sit for long periods; Good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and ability to use full range of motion. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch. Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Packer
Purpose – This Document will identify the job that the Packer will perform, and it will outline the correct methods of operation that will ensure safety of the worker and others, while preserving the machine integrity and the product quality and traceability.  Scope – The packer is responsible for checking each packaged unit and packing it into the corresponding carton. The packer ensures only sealed, sound products (bags, jars, sachets) without leaks are packed into the cartons. The following is a list of responsibilities and expectations assigned to the position. Please see the supervisor for any questions. Personal hygiene and safety are paramount when handling food products and / or packaging. The packer is responsible for always following all the sanitation guidelines and the GMPs during the workday; this includes but it is not limited to wearing a clean uniform t-shirt, long pants and closed shoes, washing and sanitizing hands periodically, not wearing any jewelry, wearing hairnet and/or beard net as applicable in the designated areas, and not eating or drinking outside of designated areas.  The packer is responsible for following the Safety guidelines and for working diligently to help prevent any accident in the facility, and to prevent damage to the product and the equipment. Requirements Responsibility At the start of the shift, bring enough packaging materials to the work area, ensure there are cases, and labels or any other applicable material needed for the product being packaged. Before starting any production, wait for the verification from the QA specialist that the packaging materials are correct. Without the QA specialist confirmation, or in their absence the confirmation from Manager, the production and packing of any products is not allowed to commence. Check with the Quality Specialist the Julian Date for the production day. Check all the units for the code date, make sure it is visible, complete, legible and in the right spot. Check all the units for leaks by squeezing them and checking the seals and the corners for any potential leaks. Discard any leaking units into the reject bin for rework. If there are any discrepancies identified when comparing to the specifications, set the product in the reject bin for rework. If the incident is not isolated, notify the Operator and the Quality Specialist immediately so the machine can be stopped, the cause for the problem identified and corrected, before continuing production. If the quality of the packaged unit is questionable, consult with the Quality Specialist before packing or rejecting the product. Assemble the cases per the instructions. When applicable, label the cases. Pack the good, packaged units into the cartons, according to the specifications. Ensure the correct number of units is packed in each case. Stay in permanent communication with the operator, resolve any issues timely, and make sure the line is always running at the maximum allowed speed according to the product being packaged. Maintain the area clean throughout the day. Pick up any sugar spills promptly. During film / pouch changes or at any downtime, take care of the regular sanitation activities of the area. At the end of the shift, clean the area and leave it ready for the next shift, sweep and clean all the area. Completes other warehouse production duties as needed. Basic computer skills Work well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important change Ability to lift 50 lbs. Frequent movements including walking, standing, bending/stooping, urning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments or extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present. Should the situation arise, complete any additional task assigned by the Supervisor or by the Manager. Packers from other lines are responsible for covering responsibilities of the position in case of the absence of the primary person.  Packers, Palletizers and Operators are all cross-trained and can fill in this position in case of absences. $15.00 per hour.
