The ideal candidate will have experience in receiving raw product, distribution and materials handling, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Duties: Operate forklifts and other equipment. Perform order picking tasks, including the use of pallet jacks, to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA regulations for safety. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Participate in training sessions for different equipment or procedures as needed. Qualifications Previous forklift experience with a focus on safety. Familiarity with warehouse workflow is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties. Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is beneficial. A valid forklift operator certification is required. Small precision sheet metal fabrication shop in Hayward is in need of a shop helper. Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. . You will be helping in the shop in all areas where needed. Must have experience in a shop setting and familiar with hand tools and machinery. INSPECTOR (Part-time, potential full-time opportunity) Inspects company & products and materials for conformance to customer specifications; detects and prevents nonconforming products from being released to the customer. Obtains and records data from incoming materials, in-process inspections, and finished products, compiling inspection reports and interacting with customer representatives.  Uses various measurement instruments and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, comparator, height gages, indicators, thread gauges, CMM and other measuring equipment.  Responsible to only use calibrated devices to verify dimensions for product acceptance. To maintain product quality the inspector must be able to read blueprints and other written specifications, use standard measuring devices, follow production procedures and instructions, and record information as required. Inspectors mark, tag, or note problems on products per company procedures. Inspectors document all nonconforming products. If the product is acceptable, the inspector certifies it.  Materials inspectors check products by sight, sound, or feel to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, and missing pieces. Maintain traceability requirements in inspection documentation to monitoring and measuring devices. Maintain documented information per control of documented information procedures. May conduct first article inspection (FAI) process or use appropriate sampling techniques, in-process, receiving, or final inspections per company procedure.  Requirements Education and/or Experience       High School or GED and 1-2 years of inspection experience (or equivalent)                                 Language Skills                                          Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Archives CMM inspection reports to job folder on network. Verifies CMM inspection data is logged correctly into data file. 11. Explain and discuss inspection results with peer employees. Verifies that employees understand any changes needed to ensure product meets customer specification. 12. Identify and quarantine non-conforming material to MRB. 13. Understands surface inspection using magnifier, light and stereo microscope to visually inspect for surface flaws and profilometer to measure surface finish. 14. Adheres to suspect counterfeit material prevention and awareness process.

Machine shop is hiring production planner/scheduler to create and manage efficient production schedules to ensure timely delivery of components, balancing machine, material, and labor resources to meet customer orders and financial goals. Key Responsibilities - Develop detailed daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for machine shop operations, prioritizing jobs and sequencing fabrication, assembly, and installation. - Analyze machine and labor capacity to balance workloads, ensure effective use of resources, and prevent bottlenecks. - Monitor incoming orders, issues work travelers and documents, and monitor in-process work to ensure all jobs are on schedule for on-time delivery. - Work closely with machinists, purchasing, and management to align schedules, communicate changes, and coordinate materials and staffing. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to equipment, materials, or staffing to maintain production flow. - Ensure accurate, real-time updates reflecting the current production plan and material availability. Capstan Medical is looking for production sewers to work in our West Side Santa Cruz facility! Capstan Medical is in development of a heart valve replacement therapy. Producing the implants we use is done by hand, using a processes that consist of hand sewing on a microscopic scale. Duties include straight stitching using a needle holder, done under a microscope. Training may be provided if necessary! Essential skills are: -The ability to hand stitch using a needle holder (tweezers) -Comfortable using a microscope for long periods of time. -OK with repetitive motion. -Comfortable with working in a clean room environment -Good attitude, willing to learn, and work hard!! Candidates without experience may take a sewing test at our facility. Passing applicants without experience may start at $27/Hr. Applicants with med device experience may earn more.
