INSPECTOR (Part-time, potential full-time opportunity) Inspects company & products and materials for conformance to customer specifications; detects and prevents nonconforming products from being released to the customer. Obtains and records data from incoming materials, in-process inspections, and finished products, compiling inspection reports and interacting with customer representatives.  Uses various measurement instruments and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, comparator, height gages, indicators, thread gauges, CMM and other measuring equipment.  Responsible to only use calibrated devices to verify dimensions for product acceptance. To maintain product quality the inspector must be able to read blueprints and other written specifications, use standard measuring devices, follow production procedures and instructions, and record information as required. Inspectors mark, tag, or note problems on products per company procedures. Inspectors document all nonconforming products. If the product is acceptable, the inspector certifies it.  Materials inspectors check products by sight, sound, or feel to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, and missing pieces. Maintain traceability requirements in inspection documentation to monitoring and measuring devices. Maintain documented information per control of documented information procedures.
