Location: Palo Alto, California Schedule: Full-time, M-F Position Summary The Quality Documentation Technician will review and interpret industry and customer specifications, in terms of customer quality and processing requirements. This role will ensure that standards are effectively integrated into our quality control system, as part of our value-added service to our customers. This role will plan, develop, implement, and direct actions concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and systems for processes, materials, and products. This role will also be responsible for conducting failure investigations, determining, and reviewing root causes of failures in order to initiate and orchestrate corrective actions. Familiarity with plating/coating industry a plus, but not mandatory. Job Summary: Responsible for custom electronic installation of customer’s trucks. Duties/Responsibilities: Support daily functions including, but not limited to: • Install electric circuits (wiring) for various electrical accessories including lighting, automatic salting controls, sensors, and switches • Utilize prints and diagrams electrical systems in truck build-up processes • Regular communication with Team Leader and Operations Manager to assess assigned job and identify parts and materials required for build up • Working cooperatively and proactively with customers • Develop continual process improvement with managers and co-workers • Parts delivery and pickup • Janitorial work beyond keeping work area uncluttered and swept • Work a 10-hour shift Monday through Friday, and a 4 hour shift two Saturdays a month • Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization Required Skills/Abilities: • General comprehension of, and experience in, the truck build up process • General understanding of truck components • General understanding of electrical circuits, including knowledge of laws of current flows as it relates to voltage drop in determining wire size required in various circuits • General mechanical aptitude • Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision • Ability to use hand tools • Follow all company safety rules and policies and operate equipment in a safe manner • Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions, diagrams, schematics, and prints • Ability to effectively perform job functions with input from manager and customers • Great attitude and ability to work with others • Good communication skills, written and verbal • Knowledge of computers and various software programs is desirable • Knowledge of on-board truck computer controls; including electrical multiplexing and CAN Bus systems is desirable Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • Current regular driver’s license to move our vehicles • Forklift operator certification • Overhead crane operator certification • Experience installing electric components such as lighting and controls, with and understanding of 12v relays • Knowledge and experience in efficient wiring, drilling holes, making connections, and soldering Physical Requirements (representative but not exhaustive): • Sitting, crouching, kneeling • Fit in tight spaces • Manual finger dexterity • Heavy lifting; 50 pounds or more • Twisting, bending, reaching, and stretching • Long periods of standing • Exposure to shop noise and dust • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures Core Values: • Integrity with a strong moral compass • Exceptional work ethic with grit • Team player attitude • Innovation

General Requirements: • Lift large pieces of material and cabinets / 20 – 60 lbs. • Read and Understand Tape Measure • Identify types of wood used, learn properties of each. • Understand use of equipment and its application to the job. • Understand product application processes (ie; paint, stain, clearcoat, etc) Maintain Finish Room in neat and orderly fashion, including Filters. • Maintain Finish and Mixing Equipment, keep clean and functional. • Learn properties of stain mixing and tinting. • Contribute to the team; meeting quality and delivery goals. • Work Safely, Work Smart, and Be Aware. • Come to work as expected: on time, focused, and ready. Processes: • Prep surfaces for each finish application: sanding filling, etc. • Masking – prep pieces for finish application. • Applying primer, paint, stain applications. • May be asked to assist in final assembly and delivery to customer. We are looking for an experienced dump truck or mix truck operator. Class A CDL is required. We are willing to send willing applicants without a CDL, but wish to obtain one, to truck driving school. We will pay for the schooling and hotel while attending the school. In exchange, the applicant agrees to work for us for a minimum of 3 years, or he/she must pay back the cost of the schooling.
