The workers will typically weld, assemble, fabricate, and inspect finished products to ensure high quality. This person will be working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Benefits: Medical/ Dental/ Vision covered 100% per employer, Life Insurance, 401K Responsibilities: • Prepare products to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel parts. • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead.) • Read blueprints/drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures with minimal supervision. • Align components, clamp pieces using rulers and other measuring devices if needed and available. • Knowledge of units of linear measurements, capable to convert inches to centimeters… • Inspection of welds for accuracy. • Change wire, and welding gas tank. • Ensure all equipment is properly set up and safety devices are being used in a safe manner. • Operate forklift, if required and trained. • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing, face-shield, gloves etc. Skills Required/Qualifications • Minimum of 1-2 years of previous shop/warehouse experience. • Capability to comprehend quality control techniques. • Acceptable knowledge of safety and health principles with OSHA certifications a plus. • Able to lift 50 lbs. and be on foot most of the day. • Must be skilled in organization & management of time and resources. • Able to work under pressure.
