I'm a member of West Bay Woodturners club. We are looking for the trunks and "Y" branches from citrus and fruit trees that people are removing from their yards. We turn them into bowls and boxes and other wooden things. Citrus and fruit trees often aren't large so the bowls are not big but sometimes the wood has interesting character. If your getting a tree removed, can we can take a look before it goes to the chipper? Most tree service people cut up the tree to go into the chipper, not thinking about how it can be made into a bowl. We would like to be there when the tree is coming down so the right cuts can be made. We would take the wood right away so you wouldn't have anything in your yard after the tree service people are done. Also, if you're planning to remove the tree yourself, we can help. We have club members all around the south bay and peninsula. Many are retired and can come almost any time. Please contact me if you think you can help. Jim
