As a Rock/Soil Technician your main duties would include processing rock cores and testing, data entry and reporting. One of the first aspects of testing you will be introduced, is going to be rock sample preparation. Some of these tests will include, Unconfined Compressive Strength (ASTM D7012) Slake Durability (ASTM D4644) and Point Load Index determination (ASTM D5731).
