Description

Entry level position available in a facility manufacturing human medicines and the materials that go into them. We are a small startup contract manufacturer of excipients and medicines. The responsibilities assigned to you on a day-to-day basis will vary, so you will gain experience with many aspects of Quality Control in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Working schedule may vary and is 40-hours per week with opportunities for overtime. Depending on the needs of the organization your tasks may include: 1. Collect samples and test materials to determine adherence to established specifications for raw materials, in-process samples and finished products. 2. Assist in troubleshooting testing and production processes 3. Participate in analytical method development and transfer of methods. Methods may include: a. Standard bench chemistry techniques b. HPLC c. pH d. Osmolality e. Viscosity f. Others per client needs 4. Perform environmental monitoring of classified areas per established procedures 5. Other duties as assigned Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform testing using established methods while adhering to GMP requirements - Author procedures and protocols - Participate in laboratory and manufacturing investigations - Perform basic math functions (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) - Reliable attendance - Think proactively - Ability to lift 25 pounds Preferred Skills and Abilities: - Write method qualification and validation protocols per ICH guidelines - Skilled in scientific writing and documentation Education and Experience Required: AA, BS or BA in Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline Desired: Experience in a regulated environment This is an hourly 1099 position. No benefits to start.

It is a fun, easy going class: you will learn about a variety of career options and gain a marketable skill as a microscopist. For Biosci 101, the required attendance hours are Tuesdays 7-8 pm, via Zoom, plus one 3 hour weekly, in person, hands-on lab (your choice of Tuesdays 4-7 pm, or Wednesdays 4-7 pm, or Saturdays 12-3 pm).
