Responsibilities: The QC Scientist is responsible for supporting the QC team with technology transfers, troubleshooting, method development and optimization for failure analysis investigations of non-confirming materials. More specific duties include: improving and/or developing QC assays used to qualify reagents and consumables; performing molecular biology techniques such as PCR/qPCR/ddPCR, PAGE Analysis, HPLC, Flow Cytometry, DNA quantitation and DNA Sequencing; troubleshooting unexpected complex equipment/QC method issues and/or optimization; assisting in the development of processes and products, including performing product and process optimization, guard band studies, stability studies, gauge R&R; working closely with process development, microfluidics, and other R&D teams to transfer/develop new QC methods related to new production instructions; prepare and update test methods and detailed records/reports to follow up on progress and/or ensure successful transfers; and other duties as assigned. Salary Range $139,339 - $150k. Education: PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, analytical chemistry, or related field (or foreign equivalent). Requirements: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or related positions.
