POSITION SUMMARY: Focus Interpreting is looking for a dedicated In-Person Interpreter English - Farsi who is Medically Certified to join our team. This role involves providing onsite interpretation services in healthcare settings, facilitating effective communication between English-speaking healthcare providers and Farsi-speaking patients. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide in-person interpretation services in medical environments, ensuring clear and accurate communication between parties. Translate medical terminology and procedures accurately to ensure understanding for Farsi-speaking patients. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations while handling sensitive patient information. Prepare for medical appointments by familiarizing yourself with specific medical terms and conditions related to the patient’s needs. Continuously enhance your knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices to provide the best possible service. REQUIREMENTS: Fluency in both English and Farsi, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages. Must possess a valid Medical Certification for interpreting Farsi. Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. You will receive support from Enriching Lives to assist you in providing services in your own home such as initial and continuing education, the support of a multidisciplinary team, 24 hour on call professional support, and overnight relief support. Enriching Lives staff will visit you and the Individual regularly to provide support and ensure that the Individual’s goals are being met. At a minimum, you must have 1-2 spare bedrooms, a safe and pleasant living environment, reliable transportation, a high school diploma or GED and a designated backup Family Home Provider. All adult members of the household and frequent visitors to the home must have a clear criminal history and a DMV record without any major violations. Enriching Lives is highly committed to making successful matches and placements in the home of people who become Family Home Providers with our agency. While there are never guarantees for placements, our success rate is extremely high. We are looking for a per diem Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Harbeson, Delaware. The Peer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the recovery process as individuals attempt to navigate behavioral health systems and recovery resources. Peer Support Specialists educates and empowers individuals by assisting them in developing a strong, stable recovery support system. Some core job responsibilities include conducting support meetings, offer service linkage as specified on the care plan, and responding to residents' emergencies as needed. Ultimately, you will work directly with the residents to assist individuals with self-care and self-awareness, encouragement and support, teaching coping skills and the positive benefits of long-term recovery. Please note this position is currently for per diem hours only and must have flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Arrange medical appointments, therapy sessions, support groups, and other resources to aid the client Monitor the resident's behavior, schedule, medication, and activities Report any unusual behavior, conflicts, or recovery deviations to the relevant professionals Liaise with family members and medical professionals regularly Provide culturally appropriate recovery education and support- Refer and link clients to appropriate services, clinical and/or medical services as needed within the agency and in the community in an appropriate and timely manner Collaborate with the resident care team to develop a plan that is individualized for the resident Provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the resident’s diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights Requirements Minimum of two years proven work experience as a Peer Support Specialist or similar role in Behavior Health, Substance Use Disorder Treatment or related field Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly compassionate and attentive to details The ability to be on call for emergencies and work on weekends and public holidays Relevant training and/or certifications as a Peer Support Specialist preferred Benefits Training & Development Wellness Resources
