Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Drafting Technician to join our team at Blew & Associates, P.A. In this role, you will prepare accurate and precise technical drawings for various engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with surveyor project managers, quality control managers, and other team members to ensure that project requirements are met and designs are executed effectively. If you have a strong aptitude for drafting and are proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities Convert rough sketches, calculations, and specifications into detailed technical drawings Prepare plans, layouts, and detailed drawings for projects Collaborate with surveying professionals to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of designs Make necessary adjustments to drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all drawings Maintain organized records and documentation of all drawings and revisions Stay updated on the latest drafting and design software and techniques Adhere to project timelines and deliver drawings within specified deadlines Requirements Associate degree or certification in drafting, engineering, or related field Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Knowledge of surveying principles Experience in land surveying or civil engineering industry is a plus Benefits 95% coverage of health benefits including Medical and Dental with optional family and/or dependent enrollment paid by employee at a group rate 50% company contribution towards Vision coverage 401(k) matching program: company match 100% of your deferrals up to 3% of your compensation, plus 50% of your deferrals over 3% not exceeding 5% of your compensation 100% employer paid Short-Term Disability with employee buy up options 100% employer paid Life Insurance Coverage with employee buy up options Paid parental leave Paid bereavement leave Holiday pay Sick pay Paid vacations Tuition reimbursement (up to $5,250 per year)

Strong creative and conceptual skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and PLM systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Knowledgeable about textile development, garment construction, and production processes.
