About Mission Bit Mission Bit is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that inspires youth of color to explore the world of STEM with project-based computer science education that embraces their identities. We offer a variety of hands-on STEM education programs, including biweekly, semester-long introductory coding courses. The role As a Lead Instructor for the Intro to VR class, you will be at the forefront of high-quality computer science education by connecting with students to foster an engaging and welcoming classroom environment! You’ll use Mission Bit’s in-house project-based curriculum to plan two lessons per week. This is a highly visible, student-facing role that reports directly to the Innovative Learning Manager. We’re proud to provide training to all instructional staff to prepare them to teach, along with ongoing support throughout the semester! Youth Tennis Coach - Oakland/Piedmont - Fall 2025

We seek passionate & committed part-time Youth Tennis Coaches for beginner K-5th students in Oakland and Piedmont for the Fall 2025 season! Make a positive difference in America's youth by coaching youth tennis after-school programs. No previous coaching experience is required - we train all coaches. Do you love working with youth, teaching sports and wellness, and helping others improve? As a Youth Tennis Coach with ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars), you'll lead or assist a weekly after-school sports program at one of our Oakland area elementary school communities. Our Fall season runs from August - December 2025 (must be available for the entire season). Great coaches will receive offers to work in future seasons. Time commitment is 1-15 hours per week, depending on how many classes you teach. Depending on your interest and experience, you may have the opportunity to coach other sports as well. Sports include tennis, basketball, soccer, flag football, pickleball, and more! We provide all necessary training, equipment, and support. Being an ANTS Coach is a great way to learn to coach sports while serving our community. Great coaches will be invited to return for the entire school year and even weekend/summer programs! Coach Responsibilities Lead a fun & safe weekly tennis practice for kids ages 5-11 Teach the FUNdamentals of tennis through a cohesive and game-filled lesson plan. Training provided! You must be available to coach in the afternoon on your program day (at least one day/week). Classes last for 1 to 1.5 hours. Some of our programs offer back-to-back classes for different age groups. Requirements Transportation: Coaches must have reliable transportation to their coaching sites. You may be required to bring equipment to & from class, so a vehicle is very helpful. Responsible & professional: Arrive on time to each practice and keep accurate attendance. Interact with parents and school staff positively. Communication: Have strong communication skills. You will communicate with ANTS, parents, and site staff through email and phone. Enthusiastic & fun: ANTS coaches are positive role models for our students.
