Your Daily Duties and Responsibilities Will Include: • Performing structural engineering calculations, analysis, and design of building structures throughout the United States under the limited supervision of a Team Leader, SE, or Principal • Preparation of plans and specifications, technical reports, and feasibility studies • Creating legible hand-sketched drawings for clients and CAD department • Producing legible, organized calculations showing adequacy of design • Implementation of firm’s quality control program for each project, completing self-QC prior to EOR’s review • Directing junior engineers/ interns, coordinating with CAD staff, and collaborating with other team members • Travel to work sites and other project locations, and perform detailed observations and project documentation • Estimating project fees and writing proposals for smaller projects • Willingness to continually improve technical skills through self-study and other educational means (classes, seminars, etc.) Critical Factors – What’s Needed to be Successful • Professional PE license and a minimum of 4 years of professional structural experience • Bachelor's degree in structural engineering from ABET-accredited university • Knowledge of multiple construction materials and project types • Understanding of advanced structural modeling, analysis, design and engineering principles based upon relevant national and regional building codes and standards • Strong verbal and written communication skills with interest in improving client interaction and relationship building abilities Compensation • Salary range of $75k-105k • 100% paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D coverage for Employee; 50% for Spouse/ Domestic Partner • Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holidays = 23 days for Starting Employees • 401 (K) Company Matching up to 5% • Comp Time Accrual and Payout Other Benefits • Continuing Education reimbursement up to 8 hours • Shared Company vehicle for site visits and meetings • Recruiting Incentive • Paid Association Dues for SEAW

Job Description: Entry level position. We offer training. *Report to the office every day *Perform plan take-offs, use software to measure and count mechanical system components to ensure accurate project price estimation. *Review project plans and specifications to include all necessary job scope details in project pricing. *Work with the Lead Estimator to prepare and submit project bids *Ability to interpret field drawings and keep project schedules in regard to drawing submittals *Potential site visits to obtain field information for use in shop and coordinate drawings, as-builts, etc.. *Build and create a CAD image library consisting of frequently used symbols and designs *Use and knowledge of drafting to execute BIM modeling and 3D modeling initiatives *Working knowledge of HVAC - AutoCAD software. Position Summary: Provide technical design, consultation, information and assistance to internal and external customers under direct supervision to insure that project complies with all engineering standards. The designer will work under the supervision of more senior engineers. Work will be completed in concert with the stated project requirements, all current codes, as well as Prime Electric Engineering Standards. Applicant will be responsible for designing, developing and producing permit and construction documents for electrical systems. Essential Job Functions: • Power Distribution, Signal and Lighting Design • Single line Diagrams and Panel Schedules • Lighting Fixture Selection and Schedules • Lighting Control Diagrams • Title 24 Compliance Calculations • Review shop drawings and specifications • Review, comment and process equipment and system submittals • Visit job sites for field investigations • Voltage drop, load and demand calculations • Coordination with other construction trades and disciplines • Back check of own work for accuracy and completeness before submission to others • Perform coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process and all electrical trades • Coordinate work with the project specifications or equipment buy-out • Attend project design team meetings. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer • Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors • Perform other duties assigned by Director of Engineering Minimum Job Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering a plus • Minimum 2-Years of experience in electrical systems design a plus • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word & Excel • Experience with Revit & Navis Manage a plus • Reasonable knowledge of the NEC as well as building codes and ordinances • Broad knowledge and experience with power and lighting design • Understanding of sustainable design and LEED Documentation a plus • Documents and archives work pursuant the Prime Electric standards
