The construction inspector is responsible for a wide range of duties that revolve around the verification of construction materials, installations, and code compliance. Daily, the inspector will perform site visits, document contractor activities and track corrective actions. The Inspector will engage teams to discuss and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring that each phase of production meets the specifications before the final acceptance. Specific Tasks and Duties: • Examine building plans to ensure they comply with local and national building codes • Inspect structures during and after construction to check for structural soundness, proper installation of building systems, and proper use of construction materials • Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards and building codes • Report violation if the construction is not compliant with regulations • Document inspection outcomes and maintain records for future reference • Conduct follow-up inspections to ensure that corrective work has been done in accordance with regulations • Advise construction teams and contractors about construction code regulations and requirements Education and Certification Requirements: High School Diploma National or State Inspection Certifications a plus.
