Houseworks Construction Company is hiring for our Carpenter position. About Houseworks: We are a start to finish high end residential remodeling contractor. We do residential only, with single family homes being the majority of our work. We’ve been in business for over 30 years and have given many families their dream space. Our job scope ranges from bathroom remodels to second story additions and everything in-between. Job details: Our Carpenters are responsible for start to finish work, this includes work pertaining to site prep, materials, demo, framing, concrete work, interior & exterior trim, setting windows and doors, drywall patching, cabinets, and clean up. We prefer someone who has excellent time management, ability to delegate, experience with residential remodeling, and is a good communicator. Our ideal candidate would have their own tools while we have company tools for specialty applications. We do provide a tool repair program. Since we are residential remodelers, a background check will be required upon hire. Working Hours: Full time (40 hours) Monday-Friday, year-round. Commute: Home to jobsite. Jobsite locations ranging from Edmonds, Kenmore, Woodinville, Bellevue, Issaquah, and Seattle / West Seattle. We do our best to keep the commutes local. Our office is in Maltby and where we host our safety meetings. We do reimburse for good to go tolls to lessen the burden of commuting. Our ideal candidate would be able to commute to these locations with ease, please indicate if you are moving to the area or plan to move to the area if you live outside of our work area. Dependable transportation (your own vehicle) is required for this position. Position: Porter TA Travel Center is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Porters to join our team in our Railroad Pass/Henderson location. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both our customers and employees. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine cleaning tasks in various areas including restrooms, break rooms, and public spaces. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Empty trash receptacles and maintain waste disposal systems. Assist in minor maintenance tasks and report any significant repairs needed to management. Help set up and tear down for events or meetings when needed. Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests and assisting with inquiries as necessary. Our contracting business is expanding and we need a skilled painter who can also repair sheetrock! We are looking for a full-time painter / sheetrock repair person to join our team. Our painting jobs are usually interiors, doors, facia or decks. We do exteriors occasionally. Our sheetrock jobs are usually small repairs from previous plumbing and electrical work and include texturing. We also do a lot of bathroom and kitchen remodels which may require whole walls sheetrocked. If you have handyman skills, this is a plus. Qualifications Painting - Must have at least 8 years experience with indoor and outdoor brush and roller work, spraying, latex and oil based, staining and refinishing of decks, doors, molding and trim, etc. Sheetrock - Experienced in patching sheetrock, taping and multiple styles of texturing including hopper and rattle-can. Own tools and transportation. We will supply consumable supplies such as pans, rollers, drop cloths, etc. Must enjoy working alone or in a team. Stucco - Not required, but a plus if you are able to do small stucco patches and match a variety of textures. Handyman or other construction skills are a plus Customer Service Focus - Good customer skills are just as important as good trade skills Communication Skills - Must be relatively fluent in English and be able to communicate easily with people who's only language is English.
