We are hiring a hands on Construction Project Manager to lead a project in Guadalupe while supporting operations from our Santa Barbara office. Position Summary The Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and oversee civil and concrete construction activities for a project in Guadalupe, CA, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, on budget, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate has project management experience in civil construction and/or concrete work, strong communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. The role will require regular travel to the Guadalupe site and occasional regional travel. Key Responsibilities • Manage daily project operations: schedule, budget, quality control, and safety compliance. • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams. • Prepare and maintain project schedules, cost reports, change orders, and subcontractor agreements. • Monitor jobsite progress and perform regular site visits in Guadalupe; lead project meetings and client updates. • Enforce safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. • Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFI responses; ensure constructability and coordination. • Track and manage project documentation, as built records, and closeout deliverables. • Mentor and coordinate field staff and subcontractors to achieve performance targets. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in civil construction and/or concrete. • Experience with foundations, structural steel, and deep foundation methods (caissons, tiebacks, micropiles) strongly preferred. • No degree required — equivalent experience and a proven track record accepted. • Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients and field personnel. • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to the Guadalupe site and other regional locations as needed. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with construction software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, or equivalent) preferred. Preferred Qualifications • OSHA 10/30 certification or equivalent safety training. • PMP or CCM and/or prior experience managing heavy civil/structural projects. • Experience interpreting structural/geotechnical drawings and specifications.
