GREAT COMPANY LOOKING FOR A GREAT PAINTER!! JAS Design Build seeks a Skilled Painter with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work alone and as part of a team. Required Skills: Minimum 10 years' experience in the following: Brushing, rolling and spraying of oil and water-based paints, stains and sealants. (thorough understanding of proper application techniques for various materials: primer, texture, paint, stain, and enamel). Prep work: Filling, caulking, and sanding of walls and trim (both interior and exterior), masking, safety and protection. Use of HVLP equipment Lead paint protocols and Hazardous materials (OSHA 10) Van organization and maintenance (including routine service work/oil changes with outside contractors) Other requirements: Excellent understanding of jobsite maintenance/management and clean-up, including proper waste disposal and tool and van maintenance. Prior use of spray booth Basic carpentry experience (or willingness to learn) Motivation and team skills: great communication via phone, text, email, and in-person (with coworkers, managers, and clients). Basic computer/cell phone skills, including some knowledge of zoom, Outlook and Excel Punctual and Reliable Clean driving record and WA state driver's license. Comfortable working at heights, including on ladders up to 40 feet. Estimating experience Additional Details: This is a full time (40 hrs.) position, and our hours are Monday - Friday 7.30 am – 4 pm We work in Seattle and nearby areas. $35 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience. The Shop Foreman is responsible for day-to-day production activities within the shop and the management of inventory, equipment and employees and facility use. Must be well versed in custom design cabinetry and production techniques. This position must efficiently communicate with team members to convey any production/installation challenges with a positive and professional attitude.
