Share523Rods Mechanic position - We are a busy Classic Volkswagen and Classic Car shop, looking to hire an auto mechanic to work with us on Vanagon, Pre-1980 Volkswagen and Pre -1980 Classic Cars. American and British. Mainly in need of someone with Mechanic and Shop experience. Will also interview with college Auto Mechanic Students. Shop experience is preferred. Main traits needed are mechanical aptitude and proficiency, professionalism, mechanical passion, shop production efficiency, punctuality and positive disposition. Will give a certain amount of training on the specifics of cars we work on and specialty jobs we perform: like Subaru conversions, transmission conversions, solar auxiliary power installs and many other CUSTOM and ORIGINAL work we perform. Specific engine, electrical, suspension, brake upgrades, but mechanical proficiency and efficiency are expected. Starting Pay for this position will depend on experience and will be talked about during interview. Range of salary (there is a probation period for which starting pay rate will depend on experience) $25.00+hr Probation period to $30+ hr pro rate (depending on experience and performance) Actual salary after probation period will depend on performance shown.
