Honua Wai Irrigation and Landscapes Job Description Job Title: Irrigation Technician Department: Operations POSITION SUMMARY Performs a variety of duties as a member of a team building beautiful landscapes for our clients with economical and efficient water delivery systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Install and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. - Perform routine maintenance on irrigation systems, including checking for leaks, adjusting sprinkler heads, and replacing damaged components. - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation system issues, including electrical and hydraulic problems - Provide recommendations for system upgrades and improvements. - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines. - Testing the soil and vegetation to determine irrigation needs. - Mapping out irrigation areas, digging trenches, installing equipment, testing the system with the aid of computer software, and conducting regular maintenance checks. - Keep accurate progress records of work performed and all materials used per project. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent is desired - 1+ years of experience in irrigation system installation and maintenance - Strong knowledge of irrigation system components and operation - Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic issues - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS - Work days are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM; Some Saturdays(Optional) - Medical, Dental, Vision insurance - PTO(Paid Time Off for vacation/sick) - Most Holidays off - Start at $20+ Depending on experience ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee filling this position.
