OPENLANE is searching for an Independent Contractor for vehicle inspections in the Missoula area. The Independent Contractor will provide vehicle inspection services at car dealerships. The Independent Contractor must have a minimum of 5 years automotive experience as a vehicle mechanic or equivalent mechanical background. Also required, is a working iPhone with a data plan,(We do not currently support Android devices to perform inspections) a basic OBD II scanner, reliable transportation, and valid driver's license. About the Role Blingle! of South Florida’s Holiday Lights Crew Leader Technician is responsible for leading and actively working with the installation team on residential and commercial Holiday Lighting projects. This is a hands-on leadership role: the Crew Leader will work alongside the crew to install lighting displays using ladders and lifts, while guiding the team to complete each project safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The Crew Leader will coordinate closely with the Office Manager and General Manager to ensure every project is installed according to design and meets customer expectations. This role involves supervising the crew on site, ensuring safety and quality, managing equipment, and providing hands-on support throughout installation and takedown. The Crew Leader Technician must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to motivate team members while maintaining a positive, professional attitude. The focus is to deliver a high-quality installation experience and create a safe and efficient work environment for the crew. Compensation will be based on experience and will include an hourly rate. This position is intended to last from November – December 2025 to assist with the busy Holiday Lighting season of South Florida. Hours are typically full-time during this period, with some evenings and weekends required. Key Responsibilities: · Lead, supervise, and actively participate in holiday lighting installations · Install and remove lighting displays while ensuring safety standards are followed · Read and interpret project details and designs provided by management · Manage tools, ladders, lifts, and other equipment effectively · Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction on every project · Communicate progress or issues to the Office Manager and General Manager
