West Coast Arborists, Inc. is hiring for a Foreman position to work in the Santa Clara, San Jose area and surrounding cities. Foreman provides labor and skill toward completion of tree maintenance assignments. Under general supervision, responsible for tree care crew operations. Involves recordkeeping and maintenance of WCA property. REGULAR JOB DUTIES *Review day’s activities *Prepare traffic control *Attends crew meetings on and off site *Perform skilled tree maintenance *Organize and supervise crew *Insure safe operation on job site *Report any malfunction, damage or industrial injury *Loads and unloads dump trucks with logs, brush and debris *Properly operates a wood/brush chipper *Safe utilization of chain saws and hand tools *Keeps work area clean and orderly *Drives/Services/Inspects/Fuels/Cleans equipment and vehicles *Maintains tree maintenance equipment *File daily reports and receipts *Evaluate crew performance *Attend education seminars and safety meetings *Perform other duties required. Questions or need assistance with application: 406-869-8318 The main purpose and function of the Mechanic/Mechanic Helper is to be the lube technician/field oiler. Repair and maintain equipment and facilities for the mine. This includes, but is not limited to, electrical, hoses and oil leaks, welding, air conditioning, field oiler, and other mechanical work, depending on experience. Specific responsibilities may include: Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and haul trucks to keep them in top shape. Computer diagnostics. Welding. Maintain mine equipment. Field oiler/lube technician. Inspect mine equipment before start up. Operate all equipment in a safe manner to keep unnecessary maintenance problems to a minimum. Communicate with all employees about unsafe conditions and/or maintenance needed, pass down instructions to the next mechanic and/or supervisor at shift change. Maintain a safe, clean, environmentally sound work area for all employees. Complete pre/post shift inspections, fuel equipment, perform PMs and operate equipment proficiently. Responsible for reporting safety, quality, environmental, and equipment concerns to supervisor. Work under close supervision. Give appropriate consideration to safety, quality, and environmental concerns. Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to API Specification Q1, 9th Edition requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education and training: Must have a current CDL with tanker, doubles and Haz-Mat endorsements. Welding Certification may be required. Experience: Six (6) months to one (1) year in preventative maintenance preferred. Experience working in an API Specification Q1, 9th Edition environment a plus.
