Superior Bulk is currently hiring a Night mechanic in Mesa AZ, Job Summary The night Mechanic is responsible for inspections, diagnosis, repair and service. The mechanic will also be responsible for safe operation, maintenance and preparation of assigned equipment and performing administrative work associated with appropriate records keeping of equipment maintenance performed. Principal Accountabilities Adheres to and ensures that all safety practices and housekeeping standards are maintained to the highest standard. Ensures that completed repairs are performed to the highest quality. Assists with administrative duties associated with maintaining activity records and logs regarding equipment and repairs. Operates and performs routine maintenance and up-keep of equipment and tools. Performs inspections, diagnostics, repair, services and rebuild of components and assemblies and determines serviceability of vehicle systems, assemblies or subassemblies and the need for repair Analyzes malfunctions by visual and auditory examination or through the use of test diagnostic equipment Reassembles, adjusts and tests repaired units for proper operations Performs preventive and special maintenance. Other duties as assigned Knowledge & Skills Considerable and specialized knowledge and skills in diesel troubleshooting, repair and maintenance Skilled in replacing and repairing components and parts of the principles and practices of organization, administration, and supervision. Ability to provide guidance and direction in the safe repair of equipment Skill in the use and operation of motorized equipment Oversee and perform maintenance on equipment to determine serviceability, of systems and sub systems on components Ability to use engine diagnostic software Ability to follow oral instructions Ability to understand and work from manuals and specifications Physical Requirements/Working Environment Able to frequently lift 50 lbs. Role and Responsibilities: - Responsible for multiple tasks involving the take down of used commercial doors and / or equipment, installation of new commercial doors, operators, equipment and multiple service categories on doors, operators and associated equipment. - Other duties may be assigned - Evaluate appropriate commercial door and installation/service requirements for each job. Prior to commencement of work, determine if appropriate tools and equipment are working and / or available. - Establish the needs of each job and document the full installation/service needed. Determine if added work needs to be performed and the measures needed to assure approved installation - Perform related minor work in framing, build in's, and adjustments. - Service and/or install Wayne Dalton Corp. commercial garage doors using appropriate tools, hardware and equipment.
