Fleet Diesel Mechanic $31.50/hour (Carlisle, PA)

Small company with less than 25 employees Union Position working in the ABF Freight Carlisle terminal. First 3-4 weeks will be on various shifts 7am - 3pm, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm for training purposes depending on abilities. Permanent shift will be third shift. Either Tues-Sat 11pm-7am (5 8-hour days) or Fri- Mon 9pm - 7am (4 10-hour days) BENEFITS: Health, Dental, Vision Insurance Life and Disability Insurance Company paid Pension Plan Paid lunch, vacation, 9 paid holidays, personal days, birthday Pay is weekly with direct deposit Great group of co-workers JOB DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Perform preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and convertor gears Diagnose and trouble shoot general operating systems using computers and perform basic repairs i.e. electrical systems, brakes, change tires, wheel seals, ABS, ELDs, federal inspections, etc... Work as a team with other Mechanics and independently in performing maintenance and repairs on well-maintained fleet equipment REQUIREMENTS: 2 years of tractor trailer maintenance experience Must have mechanical ability and willingness to learn. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check Class A CDL a plus but not required. Must possess tools of the trade Must have reliable transportation and good attendance Good written and verbal communication skills Good Computer Skills
