We’re looking for a skilled Custom Framing Fitter to join our creative and detail-driven team. We are seeking a talented and experienced Picture Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for creating beautiful works of art, and a commitment to delivering the highest quality craftsmanship. In this role, you will work with a variety of materials, including canvas, paper, and glass, to create stunning, custom-made picture frames that showcase and preserve the artwork within. Picture Framer Responsibilities & Duties • Measure and cut mat board, foam board, and other materials to size • Assemble custom frames using a variety of techniques and materials • Fit artwork and glass into frames, ensuring a tight and secure fit • Mount artwork onto mat board and foam board using conservation techniques • Maintain a clean and organized work area Picture Framer Qualifications & Skills • Experience using hand and power tools • Knowledge of conservation techniques for preserving artwork • Proven experience as a Picture Framer • Excellent attention to detail • Strong knowledge of different framing techniques and materials • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills • Ability to lift and move heavy materials, including large pieces of artwork
