Role Overview We are currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk with Assembly experience and needs to assist assembly operations as required by business needs. The candidate will work within the Logistics department with focus on material’s management, Inventory control, Quality of shipments and general warehouse operations including material picking, shipping and receiving. They will work directly the Value Stream Buyer/Planner and Plant Manager on securing inbound and outbound freight and warehouse management while being a team player and supporting assembly personnel as time permits/requires. This position requires the successful candidate to be onsite at our plant facility in Duncan, SC. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and process incoming materials into inventory. Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, labelling packages, and arranging for carrier pickup or drop-off. Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and discrepancies. Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule deliveries and ensure timely receipt of materials. Assist with assembly tasks during periods of slow shipping activity, including but not limited to product assembly, packaging, and labelling. Perform periodic inventory counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify discrepancies. Assist in continuous improvement for organizing and maintaining inventory storage areas to optimize space utilization and accessibility. Report any damaged or non-conforming items to the appropriate personnel and follow established procedures for disposition. Requirements Previous experience in shipping/receiving roles, with knowledge of shipping procedures, packaging methods, and carrier requirements. Experience with ERPs, especially with Shipping/receiving modules. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills and experience using shipping software or inventory management systems is a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus. Verbal and Written communication. Previous use of Dynamics 365 ERP software is a plus. Hands-on experience in assembly work in a warehouse environment is a plus. Inventory Accuracy and basic warehouse procedures.
