Living Room A home away from home where creatives celebrate music, art, design and culture.  We are a private membership club open to members and their guests only. The Role We are seeking a Server to join Living Room.  The Server is responsible for the knowledge, discussing and educating members and guests all menu items, allergies associated (if applicable) while also presenting an friendly and elevated experience by Living Room Standards. The Server plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of service and dining satisfaction. The server will collaborate with other team members and complete service duties, accurately entering orders in and being attentive during service to support member or guest requests.  Training: Complete Service Standards training to become well-versed in our products, service protocols, and property standards. Professional Relationships: Develop and maintain professional relationships with team members and leadership, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Process Adherence: Ensure adherence to all trained processes by consistently completing checklists to maintain consistency in service delivery. Enhancing Dining Experiences: Positively influence the dining experience for members and guests by offering food and drink pairing recommendations, discussing specials, and driving sales through clear and approachable communication in alignment with Living Room Service Standards. Communication: Maintain open communication with Leadership and the Executive Chef, promptly advising them of any allergies or issues encountered during shifts to proactively mitigate risks. Checkout Reports: Complete all checkout reports at the conclusion of each shift to ensure a smooth transition and accurate record-keeping. Compliance: Adhere to health and safety policies, as well as all Company policies, procedures, standards, and local, state, and federal laws as applicable, to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Guest Satisfaction: Accommodate special requests from guests or propose alternative solutions that align with business needs, seeking management guidance when necessary to provide suitable options. Order Accuracy: Verify that food orders are plated and coursed out correctly before serving them to members and guests, ensuring an excellent dining experience. Team Support: Assist the team whenever possible with expediting and managing service bar tickets to support timely delivery of all table orders. Cleanliness and Stocking: Maintain cleanliness and adequate stock levels in the server alley and bar area, including tasks such as silverware, plate, and glassware polishing. Menu Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of the menu, with the ability to make informed menu suggestions when requested by members and/or guests.   The Ideal Candidate  A passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences and ensuring guests feel valued and well-cared for during their visit. An understanding of restaurant operations, including menu items, specials, steps of service, to provide informed recommendations and assistance to members. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members courteously, answer their questions, and address any concerns promptly. The ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy shifts, multitask effectively, and maintain a positive attitude even in challenging situations. Experience in the restaurant industry, preferably as a server, with knowledge of point-of-sale systems, order taking, and food and beverage service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
