Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history. Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments are in place. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications effectively. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and skin care processes. Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred. Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within a clinical setting. Understanding of medical terminology and procedures relevant to dermatology. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a high-paced environment. Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software applications.
