What You’ll Do In this role you will be developing new features and enhancing the existing features of our current product offering and factory firmware. You will also participate in maintenance activities including bug fixing, automated functional and unit test improvements. You will work alongside other domain experts learning from them, and providing your own expertise to deliver world-class solutions and embedded systems. The job involves proficiency in low level C/C++ programming, and excellent debugging skills. You have an understanding of embedded programming, sensors and wireless communications.   You will be collaborating across teams including science, hardware, test, mobile application development teams, contributing to in-house tools, while enjoying a culture of cooperation, trust, equality, and flexibility.  This position is based in San Diego and follows a hybrid work model. Working with other offices and bureaus, foreign affairs agencies, and Congress, OBO’s challenge is to set worldwide priorities for the design, construction, acquisition, maintenance, use, and sale of real properties and the use of sales proceeds.   The Department of State, Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Directorate of Program Development, Coordination, and Support (DOS/OBO/PDCS) is responsible for the design, coordination, and management of OBO’s construction and renovation programs.   The Office of Project Development and Coordination (OBO/PDCS/PDC) provides project management and project management support for projects from inception through completion.
